Empire Cares: 4th Annual Toy Drive

KANSAS CITY, KS

Thursday, November 21st, and Friday, November 22nd, 2024 -

Empire Candle Co., LLC will host our 4th Annual #EmpireCares Toy Drive to benefit local non-profits in our home county of Wyandotte County, Kansas.

While Wyandotte County is located just across a river from the beating heart of Kansas City, it is one of the most impoverished counties in the state, ranking 104th out of 104 counties in overall health, quality of life, and many socio-economic factors. In past years, this charity drive has helped to plant a seed of recovery in the community, and we hope to continue to nurture this growth with our toy drive this year.

Many families in need this time of year manage to "fall through the cracks" in the system – thanks to prior events, we have been able to help over 200 families who were in this category. Are you willing to step up and join us and our partners in improving these numbers?

 There are two simple ways you can get involved:

1. You can help with a toy donation, which will go to support thousands of local kids and families through Hand to Heart, "Toys for Disadvantaged Children." Bring your new, unwrapped toy to the back dock at 2900 Fairfax, Kansas City, KS.

2. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, we have partnered with HEARTLAND 180 INCORPORATED, a non-profit established to assist and support disadvantaged youth and young adults. Their primary objectives include helping these individuals achieve academic success and enabling them to realize their full potential. You can donate to them online here: https://lnkd.in/g_Bkn2ig

The event on November 21st and 22nd is scheduled from 6 AM until 6 PM both days and is open to the public, we encourage every one near and far to come and drop-off donations. We'll give all donors a free surprise candle (while supplies last).
